O Sansa Trio foi mais um dos grandes trios paulistanos de piano+baixo+bateria, criado pelo pianista José Briamonte. Neste segundo álbum o baterista é Ayrto Moreira e o baixista é José Ordoñez. Inobstante a inegável competência dos seus integrantes, o SANSA TRIO não criou uma marca registrada, uma impressão digital que o identificasse, tal como o fizeram o ZIMBO, o JONGO e o SAMBALANÇO. Por causa disso permaneceu na obscuridade, não brilhou mas hoje, paradoxalmente, é considerado "cult". Este álbum é raro e muito bom, com um repertório de grande qualidade e uma grande performance dos integrantes do SANSA.

ALBUM RELEASE
This is a wonderful second album from the Sansa Trio -- one of the more obscure combos of the 60s bossa era. The group here is heavy on piano lines from Jose Briamonte -- but also features bass from Jose Odonez and drums from a very young Airto. Briamonte's a great player on the keys -- one with a style that's rhythmic, but also filled with lots of bright notes that really leap out beautifully -- creating a lot of lyrical interplay on the album, even when the grooves are upbeat and driving. The whole thing's got a really free and fluid sound -- and titles include "Bossa So", "Foi Assim", "Chuva", "Cao Xango", "Aruanda", "Mar Amar", "A Resposta", and "Sambidu".
