MARTIN TAYLOR
Award winning guitarist MARTIN TAYLOR has established a unique musical career as an internationally acclaimed musician, and his inimitable style has seen him recognised as the world's foremost exponent of solo jazz guitar playing. Although completely self taught, he has enjoyed a remarkable musical career spanning across four
decades, and during that time has invented and developed a way of playing the guitar that is admired, and often imitated, by guitarists all over the world. As well as being a true guitar innovator, he is also a master concert performer, dazzling audiences with his solo shows, which combine virtuosity, emotion, humour, with a strong stage presence. In 1999 he was made an Honorary Doctor of the University of Paisley, Scotland and in 2002, was appointed MBE "For Services To Jazz Music", in The Queen's Birthday Honours List, which he received personally from Her Majesty The Queen at an investiture at Buckingham Palace.

ALBUM REVIEW
British jazz guitarist Taylor grew up listing to legends like Django Reinhardt, and eventually went on to perform with the legend's former partner, violinist Stephane Grapelli, before moving on to a successful solo career. This is a pleasant and enjoyable album of standards and familiar songs arranged for solo guitar. Taylor has impeccable technique, but he never uses it in a showy or boastful manner, but rather much of the album is quite restrained and his energy is focused on interpreting the song and it's melody. Particularly enjoyable are the Toot's Thielemans classic "Blusette" and a nimble and impressive "Drop Me Off In Harlem." Taylor has a patient and thoughtful way of playing ballads and the beautiful melodies of "Someone to Watch Over Me" and "I Fall In Love Too Easily" suit him well. This is a good album for reading and relaxing, it is thoughtful and well designed, and will no doubt be appreciated by acoustic guitar partisans.

Portanto, o autor do texto exagerou.
